146 new COVID-19 cases reports in Manipur, 3 more expired

Imphal: In the past twenty-four hours, 135 persons from general population and 11 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases, while three patients expired.

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (49), Imphal East (41), Thoubal (10). Bishnupur (17), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (2), Tamenglong (4), Senapati (1), Churachandpur (7) and Tengnoupal (1).

“All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” COVID-19 common control room said.

Three persons aged 56 years (female, Imphal West), 69 years (male, Imphal West) and 75 years (female, Bishnupur) expired at Shija Hospital (1) and Raj Medicity (2) respectively. The cumulative number of deaths was 294, it added.

It said, the total number of discharged persons is 235.

The cumulative number of positive cases was 25,536 and the number of active cases was 3,070. The recovery one stood at 86.82 percent.
