Manipur records COVID-19 recovery of 87.36 percent

Imphal: Manipur on Thursday recorded COVID-19 recovery rate of 87. 36 percent with the discharge of 273 COVID patients.

The total number of discharged persons was 273. They were from CAPF (76), Home Isolation (151), RIMS (11), JNIMS (3), LKK (8), UNACCO (9), RD Wing (6), TK Ukhrul (1), Bal Bhavan (6) and Tamenglong (2).

In the past twenty-four hours, 150 persons from general population and 5 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPE) were confirmed as new positive cases, COVID-19 common control room said.

During the period one person aged 62 years (male, Thoubal) expired at JNIMS Hospital. The cumulative number of deaths reached 295.

The cumulative number of positive cases was 2.5,691 and number of active cases was 2,951.

Chief minister N. Biren Singh launched Manipur Health Helpline No. 104. All the COVID positive people under home isolation will also be checked for their mental well-being by the counselor through the helpline, the control room said.
