Imphal: In 24 hours 47 persons from general population and one personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
One person aged 48 years (male, Imphal East) expired at RIMS Hospital. The cumulative number of deaths was 337.
The total number of discharged persons was 134 and the recovery rate was 92.76 percent.
“The cumulative number of positive cases was 27,646 and the number of active cases was 1,663,” COVID-19 common control room said.
With a view to consolidate the declining trend of COVID deaths in the state it has been decided to open the OPD services in the two medical institutes: RIMS and JNIMS at the earliest. The decision was taken in State COVID Coordination meeting on Saturday.
