5 dies of COVID-19

Imphal: Five COVID-19 patients expired in 24 hours while 36 persons tested positive for the contagion.

Five persons aged 57 years (female, Churachandpur), 90 years (male, Tamenglong), 70 years (male, Imphal West), 90 years (female, Imphal West) and 70 years (female, Kakching) expired at DH Churachandpur (1), Home Isolation (1) and JNIMS Hospital (3) respectively, COVID-19 Common Control Room said.

The cumulative number of deaths was 353.

A total of 43 patients were discharged. The cumulative number of positive cases was 28,096. The number of active cases was 1,222 and the recovery rate was 94.39 percent.
