With 97.04% recovery rate, Manipur reports 58 recovered cases and zero deaths

Imphal: Manipur reported 58 recovered cases along with zero deaths in the past 24 hours according to 5 pm COVID-19 report on Friday.

The recovered persons were discharged from Home Isolation (40), JNIMS (4), RIMS (1), LKK (1), SHRI (7), DH Churachandpur (1), Jiribam (1) and Rajmed (3).

Meanwhile, during the same time frame 48 persons from general population were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Among them 24 are males and 24 are females.

They were tested at Imphal West (29), RIMS (3), JNIMS (3), Maipakpi (1), Shija Hospital (2), Raj Medicity (2), Babina Diagnostics (2), Thoubal (3), Tamenglong (2) and Noney (1).

They belong to Imphal West (36), Imphal East (4), Thoubal (4), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (1) and Noney (1) districts. “All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” said COVID Common Control Room.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,579 with 25,193 from general population and 3,386 from central security personnel. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 27,735 out of which 24,374 are from general population and 3,361 are from central security personnel. The number of active cases is 480 with 459 and 21 cases from general population and central security personnel respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 364. The recovery rate is 97.04%.
