Covid-19 vaccination to launch on Saturday at JNIMS

Imphal: Covid-19 vaccination in Manipur will be launched at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal on Saturday.

The vaccination was scheduled to launch at JNIMS auditorium in presence of chief minister N. Biren Singh.

In 24 hours 24 persons were tested positive for Covid-19 and 34 patients were discharged. There was no report of Covid-19 related death cases on Friday.

The cumulative number of deaths was 365, cumulative number of positive cases was 28,811 and the number of active cases was 436.

The recovery rate rose to 97.21 percent.

Eight travellers from the UK to Manipur on January 9 and discharged from institutional quarantine from Hotel Marriot Aerocity on Thursday were asked to contact the Common Covid Control Room or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) immediately.
