Imphal: Troops of Assam Rifles in an operation seized 256 bags of betel nuts from a truck near Baulijang Village in Churachandpur district on Friday.
Two suspected smugglers plying the truck were detained.
The market value of the seized items is estimated to nearly Rs 31.5 Lakh.
The seized contraband alongwith the detainees were handed over to the District Forest Office, Singhat for further investigation.
