19 tested positive for COVID-19, 10 recovered

Imphal: Manipur recorded 19 COVID-19 positive cases from general population in the past 24 hours.

Among them, 12 are males and 7 are females. They were tested at RIMS (2), JNIMS (5), Churachandpur (6), Shija Hospital (3) and Babina Diagnostics (3).

The positive persons belong to Imphal West (5), Imphal East (2), Kakching (1), Chandel (I), Kangpokpi (4) and Churachandpur (6) districts. “All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” said COVID Common Control Room in their 5 pm report.

In the past 24 hours, 10 persons were recovered and discharged from Home Isolation (8), SHRI (1) and Rajmed (1). Meanwhile, there is no report of death.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,919 with 25,500 from general population and 3,419 from central security personnel. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,308 out of which 24,920 are from general population and 3,388 are from central security personnel. The number of active cases is 244 with 217 and 27 cases from general population and central security personnel respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 367. The recovery rate is 97.88%.
