Imphal: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) police arrested one person along with opium from Heirok part III near Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Lai Haraopham at about 5 pm on Sunday.
The arrestee has been identified as one Ngamminlal Haokip, 36, son of Letthang Haokip of Nungtak, Machi block, Tengnoupal district.
The police team also recovered opium 6.5 kg opium from his possession.
In connection with the incident a case has been registered at NAB police station for further necessary action.
