Imphal: On Tuesday, Manipur reported 7 new COVID-19 positive cases pushing the total count to 29,137 out of which 6 belong to general population and 1 belong to Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel.
Among the positive cases from general population, 2 were males and 4 were females and were tested at Shija Hospital (3), Escent Diagnostics (1), Raj Medicity (1), Churachandpur (1) and Senapati (1). They belong to Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1), Kakching (1) and Senapati (2) districts. “All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” said COVID Common Control Room.
In the past 24 hours, 15 persons were recovered and discharged from Home Isolation (12), JNIMS (1), RIMS (1) and SHRI (1) bringing the cumulative number of recovered cases to 28,687.
Meanwhile, there is no report of death. The number of active cases is 77 and the recovery rate is 98.45%.
