Weapon display at Chandel

Imphal: Chandel Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a weapon display and motivational lecture under the theme of ‘Know Your Armed Forces’ at Machi village in Chandel district of Manipur on February 8.

The aim of the event was to motivate the youth to join the defence forces. The weapon display was organised to familiarise the young minds with the Army and Assam Rifles. Over 300 students and youth from nearby villages attended the event and enriched their knowledge about the defence forces.

Various eligibility criteria, types of entry schemes, pay and emoluments, training and various careers opportunities available in the Indian armed forces were promulgated to the students.
