NB College principal appointment to be resolved after inquiry committee submits report

Imphal: The deadlock regarding the appointment of principal of Naorem Birahari (NB) College, Khundrakpam will be resolved after the enquiry committee submits its report, education minister S. Rajen Singh said during his visit to the college on Tuesday.

The minister gave the statement as he interacted with the college authority and staff.

He was accompanied by director, education (U), Dr Rangitabali Waikhom and other departmental officials.

The minister also assured of doing justice regarding any issue related to the education department.

He said the college staff should be more sincere to their service since classes of the students have been affected due to Covid-19 pandemic. Maintaining SOPs in the college was also suggested.

The minister also visited Khundrakpam Chingkhu Government High School and inspected the completed and ongoing structure of the school. He advised the concerned contractors to complete the construction of boys’ and girls’ toilet of the school with quality control.

He also paid inspectional visit at Praja High School, Lamsang and Lamdeng Government High School. He then visited Lamlong Higher Secondary School and visited classrooms and also checked attendance register of the staffs.
