Assam Rifles organises month long pre-recruitment training for girls

Imphal: In its endeavor in ‘shaping the future prospects of the youth of Manipur’ Chandel Battalion of Assam Rifles under aegis of IGAR (South) organises a month long pre-recruitment training program for girls since February 16 which will continue till March 15.

A total of 325 enthusiastic and motivated girls from Chandel, Senapati, Ukhrul and Tengnoupal districts have volunteered for the program and are undergoing training, the Assam Rifles said.

The aim of the training program is to guide and prepare young girls for various recruitment rallies of Army, Assam Rifles, CAPFs and other government services, it added.

The training will also prepare eligible girls for the forthcoming Military Nursing Service exam and for joining the Armed Forces as an officer.

As part of training, mock written tests, aptitude tests and physical training being organised. The conducting unit is also organising various sports events and screening of motivational movies, the Assam Rifles said.
