Imphal: Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) organised pre-recruitment training for women candidates of Chandel district to train them for upcoming rallies of Armed Forces in 2021.
The Pre Recruitment training was conducted for one month which started with physical training on February 16. The training concluded on Monday with a closing ceremony which was attended by 210 candidates, officers and instructors from Chandel Battalion.
A total 268 female candidates have been trained for recruitment training. During the closing ceremony a weapon display was organised and all the candidates showed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for guiding them for exploring various available opportunities.
The candidates were given physical training and guidance for written examination and interview. 17 candidates have been registered for joining Military Nursing Services as officers and are currently undergoing training for entrance exam.
The endeavour of the year 2021 is to train maximum youth for recruitment to fulfill their aspiration of becoming a soldier and live a honourable life. Women candidates have opportunities to join Indian Army, Airforce, Navy, Assam Rifles and Para Military Forces, the Assam Rifles said.
