Imphal: Manipur University has got Prof. T. Tirupati Rao, former vice-chancellor, Osmania University as its new Chancellor.
“The President of India in his capacity as the Visitor of Manipur University under the powers conferred under statute 1 of the Manipur University Act, 2005, is pleased to appoint Prof. T. Tirupati Rao… as the new Chancellor of Manipur University…,” under secretary to the Government of India, Vijay Kumar said in an appointment letter on Wednesday.
Rao will be serving as chancellor of the varsity for a term of five years.
