8 more positive for Covid-19, April 2 Indigo passengers asked to inform Covid control room

Imphal: On Sunday eight more persons were confirmed positive for Covid-19 pushing the cumulative number of positive cases to 29,423 in Manipur.

The positive persons were tested at RIMS (3), JNIMS (3) and Babina Diagnostics (2).

They belonged to Imphal East (3), Imphal West (3), Churachandpur (1) and Ukhrul (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.

It said in the last 24 hours, them was no report of Covid related death. The cumulative number of deaths remained at 374.

Seven persons were recovered in the past 24 hours and discharged from CAPF (1), home isolation (3), SHRI (1) and RD Wing (2).

The number of active cases was 61 and the recovery rate was 98.52 percent on Sunday.

State control room has urged the air passengers who travelled to Manipur on April 2 by indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 4 to 10, are to inform the control room @ 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers.

The cumulative number of vaccinated persons has reached to 87, 641 including 31, 694 health care workers.

According to IDSP two air passengers were tested positive on this day. A total of 86 passengers were tested at Imphal airport.

So far 2, 302 passengers have been tested, out of which 37 turned out positive for the contagion.
