Manipur Covid-19 status: 11 more positive, active cases rise to 101

Imphal: Eleven fresh Covid-19 positive cases were confirmed during 24 hours (Friday 4 pm –Saturday 4 pm) in Manipur pushing the active cases to 101.

A total of 119 air passengers were tested in 24 hours, out of which four were found infected with coronavirus. Cumulative number of positive cases of air passengers has mount to 50.

The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (2), Imphal West (5), Chandel (1), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.

In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths was 375.

One patient was discharged from home isolation.

The cumulative number of positive cases moved to 29,486 and recovery rate to 98.38 percent.

The control room urged air passengers who travelled to Manipur on April 8, by Air India flight AI-889 in rows 6-12, on April 9 by indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 1-7 and by indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 1-7 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers (DSO) immediately.

A total of 1200 persons were vaccinated on Friday. The cumulative number of vaccinated individuals have reached to 92, 472 including 31, 931 health acre workers.

The control room appeals to the people in the state to wear mask, wash hands and maintain social distancing.
