18 new Covid-19 positive cases confirmed in Manipur

Imphal: Eighteen fresh Covid-19 positive cases reported in Manipur on Monday with four air passengers found positive at Imphal.
At least 174 air passengers were tested on Monday. So far a cumulative number of 3, 048 air passengers have been tested, out of which 55 air passengers have been found positive for the contagion.

According to state Covid-19 common control room the positive cases belonged to Imphal East (6), Imphal West (8), Churachandpur (1), Kangpokpi (2) and Jiribam (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths was 376, the control room informed.

Six Covid patients were discharged from home isolation.

The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 29,514. “The number of active cases is 103 and the recovery rate is 98.37 percent,” the control room said.

Air passengers who travelled to the State on April 10 by Indigo flights 6E-2615 in rows 23-29 and 6E-524 in rows 22-28 and on April 11by Indigo flights 6E-172 in rows 1-5 and 6E-2251 in rows 10-16 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said.

The cumulative number of vaccinated persons have gone up to 94, 566 including 31, 976 health care workers.
