Rainwater harvesting awareness lecture held

Imphal: Loktak Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Churachandpur sector conducted a lecture on rain water harvesting at sendra Village of Bishnupur district Manipur on Monday.

The lecture was conducted with an aim to generate awareness on scarcity of water in the environment, various aspects of rain water harvesting and ways and means to enhance the ground water levels.

The local populace were also briefed on means to save water like closing the taps after use and judicious use of water for non-essential works like washing and cleaning etc.
