Imphal: In the past 24 hours, 23 persons from general population and three personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases, state Covid-19 common control room said on Tuesday evening.
The fresh positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (7), Imphal West (11), Thoubal (1), Churachandpur (1), Kangpokpi (1), Chandel (1) and Jiribam (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
There was no report of Covid related death cases. The cumulative number of deaths was 376.
Eleven Covid patients were discharged from home isolation (6) and SHRI (5).
The cumulative number of positive cases rose to 29,540, the number of active cases to 118 (general population — 102 and central security personnel —16). The recovery rate was 98.32 percent.
Air passengers who travelled to the State on April 10, 2021 by Indigo flights 6E-2615 in rows 23-29 and 6E-524 in rows 22-28 and April 11, 2021 by Indigo flights 6E-172 in rows 1-5 and 6E-2251 in rows 10-16 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said.
