Imphal: Eighteen persons including three central security personnel were confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Manipur on Thursday while India reported 2,00,739 new positive cases.
The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal West (8), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Churachandpur (3) and Kangpokpi (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths was 376, the control room said on Thursday 5 pm.
Ten Covid patients were dischared from CAPF (1), home Isolation (6) and SHRI (3).
The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 29,579, and the number of active cases to 141. The recovery rate has fallen to 98.25 percent.
Air passengers who travelled to the state on April 12 by Bangalore to Imphal Indigo flights 6E-172 in rows 16-22 and on April 13 by Air India Delhi to Imphal flight AI-0889 in rows 16-22 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers (DSO) immediately, the control room said.
Out of 127 air passengers tested at Imphal airport two were positive for coronavirus. The cumulative number of air passengers positive for the contagion has climbed up to 62.
Till Wednesday 10, 1069 have been vaccinated in Manipur. At least 11,44,93,238 persons have been vaccinated in India.
