Covid-19 active cases hit 165 in Manipur

Imphal: With the confirmation of 31 fresh Covid-19 positive cases in 24 hours (Thursday 4 pm-Friday 4 pm) in Manipur the active cases in the state have mounted up to 165 as on Friday.

The new cases belonged to Imphal East (9), Imphal West (12), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1) and Kangpokpi (2) and Central Armed Police Force (2).

“All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” the state Covid-19 common control room said.

“In the last 24 hours, there is no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths is 376,” it added.

Seven Covid patiensts were discharged from home isolation.

The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 29,610. The recovery rate dropped to 98.17 percent.

Air passengers who travelled to the state on April 15 by Air India flight AI-713 in rows 3-9 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room # 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said.

At Imphal airport 108 passengers were tested and found one passenger positive for Covid-19. The cumulative positive cases of air passengers hit 63.
Till Thursday the cumulative number of vaccinated persons have reached10, 2470.
