Siroi shop opened at Kakching

Imphal: Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) orchestrated grand opening of Siroi Shop at Kakching on Friday.

The inauguration was graced by Salam Monika Devi, wife of late Rfn Ratan Salam who laid down his life while defending our motherland from the adversaries at the India Myanmar border in July 2020. The Veer Naari and the family is being provided assistance from Assam Rifles in many ways, the Assam Rifles said.

Siroi Shop, an initiative of Assam Rifles has fostered local artisans to showcase their talent through exquisite art, handicrafts and handloom under a single roof, facilitating avenues which will generate employment for ex-servicemen, Meira Paibis, Veer Naris and the residents of the region.

Inauguration of Siroi Shop by a Veer Nari reflects tradition and duty boundness of Assam Rifles to commemorate its martyrs and their families.
