Imphal: Khundrakpam Constituency MLA Th. Lokeshore on Monday handed over PJPC play ground at Pukhao Khabam, Imphal East district Khundrakpam people.
Lokeshore inaugurated the playground by uncovering a memorial stone.
With an objective to set up a playground in every locality of the assembly constituency PJPC play ground was set up from the expenses under MLA local area development fund, Lokeshore said.
He said the inauguration function was planned to organise with a grand function but as per notification from the state government issued on Sunday the function was organised following strict standard operating procedure after taking the consent from the authority concerned, he added.
People and youth of the Constituency should utilise the playground to bring out good players that can compete not only at the state level but at the international level. The youth and players should also focus on education, he added.
He appealed to the people to maintain the playground instead of utilising it in a wrong way.
One T. Sadananda from Pukhao Khabam appreciating Lokeshore for the contribution made for the people of the assembly constituency said, with the help of the playground many talented players can be produced from Khundrakpam Constituency.
