86 more added to Covid-19 active cases of Manipur, 1 expired

Imphal: Eighty-six persons including two central security personnel were confirmed Covid-19 positive while one 56 years old man expired in 24 hours (Wednesday 4 pm-Thursday 4 pm) in Manipur.

The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (30), Imphal West (17), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (6), Kakching (14), Senapati (2), Churachandpur (9) and Chandel (2).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control said.

A total of 25 Covid-19 patients were discharged during the 24 hours period from home isolation (19), RIMS (2), JNIMS (2) and SHRI (2).

The cumulative number of deaths has reached 381. The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 30,047, and the recovery rate is 97.02 percent. The number of active cases was 513.

Air passengers who travelled to Manipur on April 20 by Indigo Flight 6E-524 in rows 5-11 April 15 by Air India flight AI-713 in rows 11-17 must inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said.

According to latest report 11, 8215 individuals have been vaccinated against the contagion.
Fifty-three air passengers in Imphal were tested for Covid-19, out of which one was found positive. The cumulative positive cases registered at the airport has attained 87 mark.
