Manipur Covid-19 status: 2 death,140 postive, 805 active cases

Imphal: In the past 24 hours (Saturday 4 pm- Sunday 4 pm) two Covid-19 patients from Imphal West expired, 132 persons from general population and eight personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur.

The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (44), Imphal West (59), ‘Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (8), Kakching (1), Ulchrul (5), Kangpokpi (1), Senapati (3), Churachandpur (5), Tengnoupal (1) and Chandel (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.

The two persons who expired were males of 51 and 59 years of age. They expired at Raj Medicity and RIMS Hospital respectively.

The cumulative number of deaths is 385, the control room said.

A total of 38 Covid-19 patients were discharged CAPF (3), home isolation (21), RIMS (3) and SHRI (11).

The cumulative number of positive cases has gone up to 30,421. The recovery rate has fallen to 96.08 percent.

The Covid-19 common control room has asked air passengers who travelled to the state on April 20 by Indigo Flight 6E-6358 in rows 18-24 and on April 22 by Indigo Flight 6E-6181 in rows 2-10, Air India Flight AI-889 in rows 12-18 are to inform the control room #18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately.

So far 129099 have been vaccinated.

No air passenger was found positive for the contagion in 24 hours.
