Imphal: Manipur government on Saturday released prices of 17 essential items fixed by the government and ordered all shops in the state to exhibit the price list in front of their shops from Sunday to check on the price rises.
The prices of the essential items was fixed under Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
The price list is shown in the table.
The newly fixed prices will take effect immediately until further orders in respect of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Kakching district, the order said
The retail rates of the items in respect of Churachandpur and Pherzwal districts will be Re 1 above the rates indicated, it added.
