Manipur Covid-19 status: 3 expired, 175 positive, 1032 active

Imphal: Three Covid-19 patients expired while 175 persons including three central security personnel were confirmed as fresh Covid positive cases in Manipur as per Tuesday state report.

In the last 24 hours, three persons aged 42 years (male, Imphal West), 75 years (female, Imphal East) and 64 years (female, Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital, JNIMS and RIMS hospitals respectively. The cumulative number of Covid related deaths is 393, state Covid-19 common control room said on Tuesday evening.

The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (29), Imphal West (84), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (26), Kakching (9), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (7), ICangpokpi (3), Senapati (8) and Tengnoupal (1).

“All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” the control room said.

Fifty Covid patients were discharged in 24 hours from CAPF (2), home Isolation (36) and SHRI (12).

The cumulative positive cases has gone up at 30,742. The recovery rate moved to 95.36 percent.

The control room appeals air passengers who travelled to the state on April 25 by Indigo Flight 6E-6181 in rows 16-21 and 6E-21 in rows 29-35 to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately.

In 24 hours two air passengers were confirmed positive when tested 90 passengers. Cumulative Covid-19 positive air passengers was 98.

Manipur resumed Covid-19 testing for incoming air passengers at the airport zince February 24. Since then, 4,297 air passengers have been tested for Covid-19 at the airport till Tuesday.

Latest information says 139457 persons have been vaccinated so far against the contagion.

The state advises persons who are above 45 years to get vaccinated.
