Imphal: Manipur youth affairs and sports (YAS) department has banned all sporting activities in the state including any sport related activity at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex and other sport complexes in Manipur including private- run sport complexes.
The ban of sports activities was imposed in view of the second wave of Covid- 19 and increasing Covid cases in Manipur and also taking into consideration the recommendation of the State Consultative Committee of State Disaster Management Authority.
Commissioner, YAS, Bobby Waikhom in a notification said the entry of visitors at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex except officials of YAS, NSU and other departments located at the ports complex is also banned with immediate effect.
