Routine operation at RIMS cancelled indefinitely

Imphal: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has cancelled routine operation in all its departments with effect from May 1.

Due to acute shortage of oxygen and in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 patients in the hospital, routine operation of all the departments of RIMS shall be cancelled with effect from May 1 until further order, medical superintendent of RIMS prof. H. Prihoshakhi Devi said in an official order issued on Friday.

“The patients in particular and public in general are requested to bear with us,” she said.
