Imphal: Manipur on Saturday recorded a sharp spike of 319 Covid-19 positive cases while five expired of Covid-19 infection.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 related death cases has risen to 410 and the active cases tally to 1652.
The expired patients were a 71 years old female, (Imphal West), a 55 years old male (Imphal East), 50 years old female, (Imphal East), an 80 years old male (Kakching) and a 26 years old male (Churachandpur).
The cumulative number of positive cases has moved to 31, 905 and the recovery rate to 93.53 percent.
Out of the fresh Covid-19 cases seven belonged to central security force while the rest belonged to Imphal East (91), Imphal West (120), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (24), Kakching (23), Ukhrul (9), Senapati (15), Churachandpur (9), Chandel (2), Kangpokpi (6), Tamenglong (1) and Tengnoupal (1).
Seventy-nine patients were discharged from home isolation (65), RIMS (2), JNIMS (3), RD Wing (2) and SIRI (7).
No air passengers in Imphal was found positive for the contagion.
As per latest report, 194659 persons have been vaccinated against the contagion.
