Imphal: A suitable government job will be given to next of kin of Waikhom Ronald, a jemadar at 6th Manipur Rifles who died of Covid-19 in Assam, Manipur chief minister said on Saturday.
Biren made the announcement on his Facebook wall as he paid tribute to the departed soul. He shared his grief over the demise of the Jawan.
Ronald, a resident of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai, was on his election duty in Assam and West Bengal. Ronald returned to Guwahati from West Bengal after his election duty on April 17. He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on April 20. He had been undergoing treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and breathed his last on Thursday.
The deceased was survived by two sons and his wife
