Imphal: Another five Covid-19 patients expired as 256 persons were confirmed positive in 24 hours ( Saturday 4 pm to Sunday 4 pm) in Manipur.
Manipur Covid-19 common control room on said five persons aged 80 years (male, Bishnupur), 35 years (male. Imphal East), 58 years (male, CAPF, Imphal West), 79 years (female, Imphal West) and 32 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital (1), RIMS (3) and JNIMS (1) respectively.
The new positive cases belonged to CAPF (14), Imphal East (56), Imphal West (112), Thoubal (13), Bishnupur (17), Kakching (13), Ukhrul (4), Churachandpur (13), Chandel (3), Kangpokpi (4), Noney (4), Kamjong (1) and Jiribam (2).
“All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” the control room said.
A total of 80 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (1), home isolation (70), RIMS (1), JNIMS (2) and SHRI (6).
The cumulative number of deaths was 415, the cumulative number of positive cases was 32,161, the number of active cases was 1823 and recovery rate is 93.04 percent as on Sunday.
The Covid vaccination tally has attained 207765 mark.
