Imphal: Bishnupur district police of Manipur seized huge amounts of drugs from a passenger bus at Nambol Phoijing, Bishnupur district at about on Tuesday morning.
The police team seized the drug from the passenger bus bearing registration number MN 01AA 0484 while conducting frisking and checking at Nambol Phoijing crossing along Tiddim Road.
About 653 gm of Heroin powder and approximately 2.425 kg of WY tablets were recovered by the police team from the bus.
On examination it was found that the drugs belong to one Md Abdul Lakip, 20, son of Md Sattar of Kakta Selva, ward number 2.
The person has been arrested and handed over to Nambol police station along with the seizures for further investigation after a case was registered.
