Imphal: Manipur government has prepared to initiate Covid-19 vaccination programme for 18-44 years, the vaccine consignment will be arriving Imphal within 2-3 days.
Lok Sabha MP, RK Ranjan informed this to reporters here on Tuesday after receiving his Covid vaccine 2nd dose at JNIMS, Porompat on Tuesday.
Supreme Court has already directed both the central and state government of the country to announce complete lockdown to avoid spread of Covid-19 second wave.
The present NDA government after considering the past impact from 1st wave of Covid-19, the government took the decision to announce local lockdown after monitoring the hotspot area as the country’s economy has already been affected in the 1st wave, he added.
The state government has directed the MLAs of the state to re-open Covid Care centres at their respective assembly constituencies. Some of them has already started functioning, said Ranjan.
He said to control the increasing positive rate of Covid infection people need to take initiatives instead of waiting the initiatives from the government.
Ranjan appealed to the people to get Covid vaccination as much as possible.
