Manipur Covid-19 status: 12 expired, 442 positive

Imphal: Twelve Covid-19 patients expired and 442 persons were confirmed as new positive cases in 24 hours (Friday 4 pm to Saturday 4 pm) in Manipur.

Manipur Covid-19 common control room said, in the last 24 hours, 12 persons aged 76 years (female, Kangpokpi), 58 years (female, Ukhrul), 41 yeaers (female, Kangpokpi), 46 years (female, Imphal East), 65 years (male, Thoubal), 75 years (female, Imphal West), 72 years (female, Imphal East), 56 years (male, Imphal East), 60 years (male, Imphal West), 59 years (male, Imphal West), 82 years (female, Imphal West), and 60 years (male, Imphal West) expired at DH Kangpokpi (1), Shija Hospital (1), CMC (1), JNIMS (7) and RIMS(2) hospital respectively.

The cumulative number of deaths is 461, it added.

The fresh positive persons belonged to Imphal East (140), Imphal West (168), Thoubal (17), Bishnupur (27), Kakching (32), Ukhrul (13), Churachandpur (15), Chandel (5), Senapati (3), Kangpokpi (1), Jiribam (4), Tengnoupal (3), Noney (12) and CAPF (2).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

Eighty-five persons were discharged from CAPF (2), home isolation (68), JNIMS (2), RIMS (4), RD Wing (6), Jiribam (1), BB (1) and LANVA (1).

Manipur at present has 34, 775 cumulative number of positive cases and 3851 active cases. The recovery rate moved to 87.60 percent.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1074 D-type oxygen cylinders and 500 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.

So far 258740 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
