Manipur Covid-19 status: 13 expired, 424 positive


Imphal: Manipur on Monday recorded 13 Covid-19 related death cases and 424 fresh positive cases.

In the last 24 hours, 13 persons aged 42 years (female, Imphal East), 43 years (male, Imphal West), 48 years (male, Imphal West), 46 years (male, Chandel), 92 years (female, Thoubal), 73 years (male, Thoubal), 60 years (female, Imphal West), 65 years (male, Imphal West), 39 years (male, Bishnupur), 33 years (female, Kakching), 66 years (male, Imphal West), 72 years (female, Imphal West), and 62 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity (1), Shija Hospital (2), DH Chandel (1), DH Thoubal (1), JNIMS ( I) and RIMS(7) hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 489, state Covid-19 common control room said.

The new positive cases belonged to Imphal East (157), Imphal West (175), Thoubal (8), Bishnupur (30), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (18), Chandel (3), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (2), Jiribam (11), Kangpokpi (3), Tengnoupal (1) Noney (1) and CAPF (10).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

Eighty-seven persons were discharged from CAPF (3), Home Isolation (41), RIMS (8), RD Wing (2), LANVA (10), BB (1), DH Churachandpur (1), CCC Kakching (1), Jiribam (1), CCC Bishnupur (7) and Ukhrul (12).

The cumulative number of positive cases was 35,778, active cases was 4604 and the recovery rate was 85.76 percent.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1020 D-type oxygen cylinders and 524 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District Hopitals have 128 D and 85 B type filled cylinders of which Bishnupur have (13D, 8B), Chandel (18D, 6B), Churachandpur (24D, 10B), Senapati (6D,7B), Thoubal (23D, 11B), Ukhrul (9D,16B), Tamenglong (15D,21B), Jiribam (20D,6B), the control room said.

Five air passengers were confirmed positive when tested 65 passengers on Monday at Imphal airport. The cumulative number of postive air passengers has reached 108.
