Manipur government relaxes curfew for important services

Imphal: Manipur government has relaxed certain activities from the purview of Covid curfew as the complete closure of certain critical services has led to difficulty in provision of government services and undue hardship to public.

Child Protection Services (orphanages, children homes, observation homes, etc.); home delivery services under ICDS/ICPS (supplementary nutrition for children, pregnant and lactating mothers); home delivery of various goods and services (food items, vegetables, groceries, medicines, etc.) including ecomrnerce platforms; services of forest, environment and climate change department, finance department and treasuries with minimal staff are allowed in the curfew hours.

Banking services with limited staff on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10 am to 2:30 pm for government and non-government transactions; ATM services; sale of fish feed and animal feed; milk and milk products; sale of fish, poultry and poultry products are allowed during 7 am to 2 pm, for purchase by locals, as per the government order issued on Tuesday.

These services are allowed subject to observation of social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitization norms strictly.
