Imphal: Health director K. Rajo Singh has instructed all doctors and health staff of the district hospitals, CHC, PHC, HWC and PHSC to always remain in their places of duty without fail to meet medical emergencies round the clock.
“Day-wise duty roster dystem is strictly prohibited for doctors and health staff,” the director said in an order issued on Wednesday.
The increasing trend in the spread of Covid-19 infections has become steeper and more widespread all over the state necessitating all the public health facilities to remain alert round the clock to meet the health emergencies, he said.
All the chief medical officers and medical superintendents were instructed to take immediate necessary action in this regard.
Non-compliance of the orders shall be strictly dealt with as per rules, the health director said.
