611 Covid-19 patients recovered in 24 hours


Imphal: A total of 611 Covid-19 patients were recovered while 538 persons were confirmed positive and 17 succumbed to the contagion in 24 hours in Manipur.

Of the recovered patients 507 were discharged from home isolation. The death cases belonged to Imphal West (7), Imphal East (7), Kamjong (1), Bishnupur (1) and Thoubal (1).

The fresh positive cases were from Imphal East (164), Imphal West (202), Thoubal (18), Bishnupur (21), Kakching (12), Ukhrul (38), Churachandpur (34), Chandel (5), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (4), Tengnoupal (5), Kamjong (1), Noney (4), Jiribam (7) and Kangpokpi (7).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 44,627. The number of active cases is 6444. The recovery rate is 83.98 percent.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1323 D-type oxygen cylinders and 495 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.

According to the control room, a total of 345618 individuals have been vaccinated.
