‘Many in Imphal don’t have proper house to remain safe in pandemic’

Imphal: It is disappointed that there are still people in Imphal who do not have a house to remain inside amid the pandemic, intending candidate of Uripok Assembly Constituency Khumbongmayum Suresh said.

Sureh was speaking to media through a video clip as he hands over a newly constructed house to Irom Debjani Chanu, 50, a resident of Uripok Mayai Leikai, Imphal West on Wednesday.

Suresh said Debjani, daughter of late Irom Birchandra has been living alone in her house. Due to the financial problems, she has been living in a house under the worst condition.

He said Uripok assembly constituency is located near in the heart of the Imphal city and also a Constituency of Manipur deputy chief minister.

In the assembly constituency, there are many households that are facing serious problems due to poverty amid the pandemic. After considering the condition of Debjani he constructed her house so that she can be prevented from the Covid-19, he added.

He assured that he will continue providing necessary assistance for the people in the Constituency amid the pandemic and after in order to make the best Constituency in the state.

He appealed to the people to extend cooperation so that he can provide necessary assistance for the Assembly constituency in the days to come.
