More donations flow in to Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Relief Fund

Imphal: After donating 50 D-type oxygen cylinders to Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund on May 22, MCS (Manipur Civil Service) Association handed over medical items on Friday to the director, health services, K. Rajo Singh at the office premises of Directorate of Health Services, Lamphelpat, here.

The medical items include 500 numbers of non-rebreather oxygen mask (NRBM), 200 numbers of PPE, 500 numbers of N95 mask and 1000 numbers of IV Cannula/ Vasofix of different sizes for an amount of Rs 3,75,000.

President of the MCS Association and director, social welfare Ngangom Uttam; general secretary, MCS Association and additional district magistrate, Imphal west Yumnam Nelson; deputy secretary transport Dr Mayengbam Veto; deputy secretary, sericulture and Youth Affairs and Sports Sonia Elangbam; deputy secretary health and family welfare Dr Y. Suraj Singh and senior medical officer of the Central Medical Store of the health dervices Dr M. Dinesh Singh were present.

The medical items are for use in all districts and health care facilities including Jawaharlal NehruInstitute of Medical Sciences, CCC-NSU, CCC- Bal Bhawan, CCC- RD Wing and CCC-Lamboi Khongnangkhong on need-based assessment by the director, health services.

Kangla Wood Product, Langjing donated Rs 1,00,000, Drivers Apunba Lup (IOC- Oil Tankers) contributed Rs 20,000 and Sinam Pritam Singh (proprietor of Eastern Motors) donated 600 pulse oximeters, 1000 Ceftraxonesulbactum injections and 1000 Pantoprazole injections.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has expressed his gratitude to all those who have donated to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
