Imphal: Manipur on Saturday recorded highest single day spike of Covid-19 positive cases of 1007 while 15 more Covid patients succumbed.
In the past 24 hours, 1007 persons were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The positive cases were from Imphal East (237), Imphal West (358), Thoubal (98), Bishnupur (63), Kakching (63), Ukhrul (9), Churachandpur (91), Chandel (4), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (37), Tengnoupal (6), Kangpokpi (3), Jiribam (4), Kamjong (10), Noney (3), CAPF (1) and Pherzawl (12).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The 15 Covid-19 victims belonged to Imphal West (6), Imphal East (5), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1) and Ukhrul (1).
The cumulative number of deaths is 776, the control room said.
A total of 564 Covid patients were discharged from CAPF (22), Home Isolation (451), RIMS (6), JNIMS (8), BB (13), NSU (8), SHRI (10), RD Wing (3), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (14), Jivan Hospital (3), RAJMED (2), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (4), Senapati (4), Ukhrul (5) and Tengnoupal (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 48,850, active cases are 8,030 and the recovery rate is 81.97 percent, the control room said.
So far 375518 persons have been vaccinated in the state.
