Imphal: In the past 23 hours, 1032 persons were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases while 17 patients succumbed to the contagion and 563 patients were recovered in Manipur.
The positive cases were from Imphal East (281), Imphal West (310), Thoubal (95), Bishnupur (78), Kakching (36), Ukhrul (10), Churachandpur (100), Chandel (5), Senapati (18), Tamenglong (46), Tengnoupal (11), Kangpokpi (1), Jiribam (25), Kamjong (9), Noney (1) and Pherz.awl (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said on Sunday.
The death cases belonged to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (5), Churachandpur (5), Kakching (2) and Ukhrul (1).
The recovered 563 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (10), Home Isolation (414), RIMS (14), JNIMS (7), BB (6), NSU (10), SHRI (11), LANVA (16), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (35), Jivan Hospital (3), Thoubal (8), Bishnupur (5), Kangpokpi (3), Churachandpur (8), Chandel (1), Ukhrul (12) and Tengnoupal (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 49,882. The number of active cases is 8,482. The recovery rate is 81.40 percent, the control room said.
Latest information said 382352 individuals have been vaccinated.
