Imphal: The Wuhan virus has claimed 14 lives, infected 791 and freed 592 Covid-19 patients in 24 hours in Manipur.
The death cases belonged to Imphal East (8), Imphal West (3), Bishnupur (1), Kangpokpi (1) and Thoubal (1).
The fresh 791 positive cases were confirmed out of 7689 test results released on Friday. The positivity rate was 10.28 percent.
The cumulative number of deaths is 863, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The fresh cases were from Imphal East (167), Imphal West (271), Thoubal (84), Bishnupur (49), Kakching (52), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (89), Chandel (23), Senapati (9), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (6), Kangpokpi (24), Kamjong (6), Noney (4) and Jiribam (1).
A total of 592 were discharged on Friday. Out of them 380 were from home isolation, 15 were from RIMS (11) and JNIMS (4) and the rest 197 were from other Covid care facilities, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 53,690. The number of active cases is 9,048. The recovery rate is 81.54 percent.
A total of 403677 persons have been vaccinated so far.
