Pharmacies people mandatory to possess negative Covid-19 test report

Imphal: Pharmacies, workshops and approved category of shops are required to get the shopkeepers and the persons manning the shops tested and produce the negative test report for Covid-19 on or before June 8.

The test results are required to be shown while enquired for production by the police and district administration failing which the permission for opening of such shops and establishment shall be withdrawn, deputy commissioner Imphal West Th.Kirankumar said in an order issued on Friday.

The Manipur government, in different orders, has accorded approval for opening of pharmacies, workshops, some category of shops during restricted schedules and time period and the same are in operational as on date in the whole district. The schedule and time shall remain unaffected as per the orders of the government from time to time, the order said.

It is also learnt that the request made by authority in different locations for mandatory testing of shopkeepers or proprietors including pharmacies are not very forthcoming in some areas, it added.

The persons manning the shops opened on scheduled date and time are required to be safe and protected from Covid-19 as well as precautions from spreading are required to be ensured, the deputy commissioner said.
