Sekmai gets first community home isolation centre

Imphal: First community home isolation centre (CHIC) for Sekmai Assembly Aonstituency having 60 bedded facility inaugurated at Sadar Patel High School, Khurkhul on Friday.

Co-convenor of joint committee on Covid-19, Sekmai Assembly Constituency, MLA Heikham Dingo inaugurated the CHIC.

Dingo said “The Constituency will not face shortage of CHIC facility and necessary assistance will be provided as much as possible by monitoring round the clock with the help of local Meira Paibi, local club and civil society organisation.”

He appreciated the volunteers of the CHIC who took the initiatives by themselves and other locals for giving moral support in opening the CHIC.

Dingo said the patients in CHIC will be looked after by the doctors and medical staffs of primary health centre in the Constituency. The medical staffs will be given assistance by the volunteers of Sekmai AC Covid-19 frontline warrior group.

Necessary medical kits including oxygen cylinder, oximetre, PPE kits, face shield, face mask, hand sanitizers and sodium hypochloride were handed over to the CHIC.

He appealed the people for early vaccination to avoid spread of the virus and to follow the guidelines issued by the government.
