Imphal: Moreh and Mantripukhri Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) organised a Tree Planatation drive in Moreh and Imphal East on Saturday towards promoting the ‘Go Green Initiative’.
The tree plantation drive was conducted on the occasion of World Environment Day with an aim to control the global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on importance of clean environment.
As part of initiative, saplings were planted by the troops of Assam Rifles. During the event, the troops were educated about the importance of trees in maintaining the ecological equilibrium.
