Imphal: Nine Covid-19 patients were expired and 823 were confirmed positive for the disease while 646 were recovered from the disease in 24 hours, in Manipur.
The fresh cases were confirmed positive out of 8873 test results released on Sunday. The positivity rate was 9.38 percent.
The death cases belonged to Imphal East (4), Imphal West (3), Kangpokpi (1) and Kakching (1).
The positive cases were from Imphal East (192), Imphal West (245), Thoubal (86), Bishnupur (49), Kakching (69), Ukhrul (12), Churachandpur (71), Chandel (6), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (14), Kangpokpi (7), Kamjong (9), Jiribam (56) Noney (1), CAPF (2).
The cumulative number of deaths is 881.
On Saturday 646 persons were discharged, out of which 478 are from home isolation, 12 are from RIMS (9) and JNIMS (3) and the rest 156 are from other Covid care facilities, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 55,230. The number of active cases is 9,184. The recovery rate is 81.77 percent, it added.
So far 422872 individuals have been vaccinated.
