Imphal: Covid-19 claimed 15 lives and infected 598 persons while 783 patients were recovered in 24 hours, in Manipur.
The District wise distributions of the Covid related deaths are Imphal West (5), Imphal East (6), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1) and Churachandpur (1).
The cumulative number of deaths is 896, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The new positive cases belonged to Imphal East (117), Imphal West (202), Thoubal (72), Bishnupur (54), Kakching (26), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (83), Chandel (6), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (7), Kangpokpi (1), Kamjong (5), Jiribam (14) and Noney (1).
“Today, 783 persons were discharged, out of which 555 are from home isolation, 30 are from RIMS (11) and JNIMS (19) and the rest 198 are from other Covid care facilities,” the Covid control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 55,828. The number of active cases is 8,984. The recovery rate is 82.30 percent.
A total of 423072 persons have been vaccinated so far.
